Introduction

Hatching Point ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Closet Reset mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Optional App Usage Data: Bounded onboarding, feature completion, purchase, and reliability events, app version, and an anonymous installation identifier. We do not include wardrobe photos, item names, notes, tags, outfits, packing destinations, feedback text, or other personal content in these analytics events.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status (processed by Apple, we don't see payment details)
• Support: If you send feedback, the message, optional contact information, and technical details needed to respond are processed by our support service.

Privacy Choices and Advertising

Optional usage analytics is off by default. Before onboarding, you can choose whether to share it and continue normally either way. Change or withdraw this choice in Settings → Privacy choices; turning it off stops future optional usage collection. This choice does not grant advertising tracking permission.

Apple separately controls tracking permission. If you allow tracking, Meta and TikTok may receive device identifiers and app activity or purchase events for advertising measurement. You can deny tracking without losing access to the app and change it in iOS Settings. Apple may also provide privacy-preserving advertising attribution.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve app functionality
• Process your subscription
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze usage to improve features

Third-Party Services

• Apple: App Store handles purchases and subscriptions. Data is stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks.
• PostHog: Processes optional product analytics after your consent.
• Meta and TikTok: Advertising measurement is subject to Apple's tracking permission.
• Convex: Hosts our feedback and support service. Wardrobe photos are not sent to this service by the closet feature.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Your wardrobe photos, outfits, and packing lists are stored locally on your device.
• Service Data: Consented analytics, advertising measurement, and submitted support data are processed by the services described above. We retain service data only as needed for its stated purpose and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request access or deletion; anonymous analytics may not be attributable to you. Withdrawing consent does not automatically erase prior events.
• Encryption: All data transmitted uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

Your Rights

• Access: View all data stored in the app
• Delete: Remove your data at any time
• Cancel: Cancel subscription through App Store

Children's Privacy

Closet Reset is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
