Introduction

Hatching Point ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the ContactExport+ mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Contact Data: ContactExport+ accesses your device contacts solely to generate export files, preview exports, calculate contact health, and detect likely duplicates. Contact data is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers or analytics services.
• Export Files and Saved Backups: When you export, the app creates CSV or vCard files from your contacts. Exports may be saved locally in the app's on-device backup vault and are only shared outside the app when you choose to share them through iOS.
• Export History and Preferences: Records of past exports, such as date, format, contact count, file size, health summary, reminder settings, selected export format, CSV preset, and filters are stored locally on your device.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status, trial status, and lifetime unlock status are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.
• Feedback Information: If you choose to send feedback, we receive your message, selected feedback category, optional email address, app version, device model, OS version, locale, and bundle identifier so we can respond and improve the app.

On-Device Processing

ContactExport+ is designed with privacy as a core principle. All contact data processing — including reading, formatting, exporting, duplicate detection, and contact health analysis — happens entirely on your device. Your contacts are never uploaded to any server. The exported file only leaves your device when you explicitly choose to share it via the iOS share sheet.

How We Use Your Information

• Generate contact export files (CSV, vCard) on your device
• Perform on-device contact health analysis (missing fields, duplicate detection)
• Preview exports before sharing
• Track export history and saved backups locally for your reference
• Schedule optional local backup reminders
• Process your subscription or one-time purchase
• Respond to feedback or support requests you send us

Push Notifications

ContactExport+ may send you scheduled backup reminder notifications if you opt in through the app's Settings. Notification preferences are stored locally on your device. You can change your reminder frequency or disable notifications at any time in Settings. We do not use push notifications for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

• Apple: App Store handles purchases, subscriptions, and one-time purchases. iOS also provides Contacts access, local notifications, file storage, the share sheet, and device backup behavior.
• Hatching Point Feedback Service: Feedback you intentionally submit in the app is sent to our Convex-hosted backend so we can review and respond to it. Contact exports and address book data are not sent through this service.

ContactExport+ does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or AI services to process your contacts.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Export history, preferences, and saved backup files are stored locally on your device.
• No Cloud Backup by Us: We do not maintain copies of your data on our servers.
• Apple Device Backups: Local app data may be included in your Apple device or iCloud backup depending on your iOS settings.
• Network Security: Purchase and feedback requests use encrypted connections provided by Apple or our backend provider.

Your Rights

• Access: View exports, saved backups, and export history available in the app
• Delete: Remove export history and locally saved backups from the app
• Notifications: Enable or disable backup reminders at any time in Settings
• Cancel: Cancel subscription through App Store, or purchase lifetime access

Children's Privacy

ContactExport+ is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
