Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using ContactExport, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use the app.

Use License

Hatching Point grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ContactExport for personal, non-commercial purposes subject to these Terms.

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app
  • You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • You may not use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • You may not transfer your license to anyone else

Subscriptions and Payments

ContactExport offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at purchase confirmation
  • Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Contact Data

ContactExport requires access to your device contacts to provide its core functionality. You retain full ownership of your contact data at all times. The app processes contacts locally and does not store, copy, or transmit your contacts to any server. Exported files are only shared when you explicitly choose to do so through the iOS share sheet.

Third-Party AI Service

ContactExport offers an optional AI-powered contact health analysis feature powered by OpenAI. By using AI features in the app, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • When you use the contact health analysis feature, only aggregate statistics (total contacts, contacts with phone/email) are sent to OpenAI's servers. No individual contact details are ever transmitted.
  • No personal information (name, email, Apple ID, payment details, location, or photos) is sent to OpenAI.
  • AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for verifying AI outputs.
  • OpenAI's own terms of use and privacy policy apply to data processed by their service. OpenAI does not use API data to train models.
  • AI features are optional. You may decline the data disclosure and continue using the app without AI functionality.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. Export files are generated based on the data available in your device contacts — we are not responsible for incomplete or inaccurate contact data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hatching Point shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
