Introduction

Hatching Point ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the InkVerse Painter mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Optional Usage Data: If you choose Share usage & continue, we use PostHog to understand onboarding completion, canvas creation, drawing and PNG export outcomes, subscription interactions, and bounded error categories. Events include an anonymous installation identifier, app version, build, and platform. Usage events do not include artwork pixels, strokes, layers, titles, colors, imported files, feedback text, contact details, transaction IDs, or raw errors. Session recording and automatic screen capture are disabled.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status (processed by Apple, we don't see payment details)
• Support: When you send feedback, we receive the message, any contact details you provide, and app/device diagnostics needed to respond. This is separate from optional usage analytics.
• Advertising Measurement: Where configured and permitted by Apple's separate tracking authorization, Meta and TikTok may receive app activity, purchase signals, and device or advertising identifiers to measure advertising. Declining tracking does not prevent using the app. Apple's privacy-preserving attribution may operate without cross-app tracking permission.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve app functionality
• Process your subscription
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze optional, consented usage to improve features
• Measure advertising subject to applicable permissions

Third-Party Services

• Apple: App Store handles purchases and subscriptions. Data is stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks.
• PostHog: Processes optional product analytics. We do not identify analytics profiles using your name, email, artwork, or advertising identifier.
• Convex: Hosts app configuration, support processing, and operational analytics summaries.
• Meta and TikTok: Process authorized advertising measurement when configured. Apple's tracking permission is separate from the app usage choice.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Artwork: Drawings and imported artwork are stored on your device. We do not provide server-side artwork backup. Exporting or sharing a file is an action you initiate.
• Service Data: Consented analytics, submitted support requests, and permitted advertising signals may be processed by the services described above; local artwork storage does not mean these separate service records stay only on your device.
• Encryption: All data transmitted uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

Your Rights

• Optional Sharing: Choose Continue without sharing at first launch to use the app without optional usage analytics. No checkbox is preselected and no subscription is required to make this choice.
• Withdraw Consent: Open Studio Settings → Privacy choices, turn off Share app usage, and save. This stops future optional collection; it does not automatically erase records already sent. Contact us for deletion requests. Apple's tracking choice can be changed separately in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Access: View all data stored in the app
• Delete: Remove your data at any time
• Cancel: Cancel subscription through App Store

Children's Privacy

InkVerse Painter is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
