Hatching Point ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the InvestorRiskAssessor mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Assessment Data: When you generate a due diligence assessment, you provide a company name, industry, company stage, and optionally a website URL and free-text notes. This information is used to generate your risk analysis.
• App Usage Data: Information about how you use the app (e.g., number of assessments generated), stored locally on your device.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status (processed by Apple; we do not see your payment details).

How We Use Your Information

• Generate AI-powered due diligence risk assessments based on the company information you provide
• Provide and improve app functionality
• Process your subscription
• Respond to support requests

Data Shared with Third Parties

OpenAI: To generate AI-powered risk assessments, the company name, industry, stage, website URL, and notes you enter are sent to OpenAI's API (openai.com) for processing. Only the data you enter into the assessment form is transmitted — no personal information, device identifiers, or usage history is sent. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. OpenAI's API data usage policy states that data sent via the API is not used to train their models.

Apple: Payment processing and subscription management is handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple may collect data in accordance with their privacy policy.

Your Consent

Before any data is sent to OpenAI, you are asked to provide explicit consent within the app. You can withdraw this consent at any time from Settings > AI Data & Privacy. Withdrawing consent will disable AI-powered assessment generation but will not delete your existing saved assessments.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All generated assessments and user preferences are stored locally on your device.
• No Cloud Backup by Us: We do not operate external servers or databases that store your data.
• Encryption: All data transmitted to third-party services uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
• iCloud: Your data may sync if you enable iCloud backup on your device.

Your Rights

• Access: View all data stored in the app
• Delete: Remove all your data at any time through the Settings menu
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke AI data sharing consent at any time from Settings
• Cancel: Cancel your subscription through App Store account settings
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data

Children's Privacy

InvestorRiskAssessor is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
