Introduction

Hatching Point ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Quiet Desk mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Optional Usage Data: If you choose Share usage & continue, PostHog processes bounded events about onboarding, focus-session start and successful completion, progress-screen use, reminder permission outcomes, subscription interactions, and error categories. Events include anonymous installation/session identifiers, app version, build, platform, and coarse duration buckets. We do not include your focus history, individual focus-session IDs or exact times/durations, notification content or schedule, support messages, email addresses, transaction IDs, or raw errors in usage events. Automatic screen capture and session replay are disabled.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status (processed by Apple, we don't see payment details)
• Support: Feedback you choose to send can include your message, optional contact details, and app/device diagnostics needed to respond. Support is separate from optional usage analytics.
• Advertising Measurement: Where configured and authorized through Apple's separate tracking permission, Meta and TikTok may receive app activity, purchase signals, and device or advertising identifiers to measure ads. Declining tracking does not prevent app access. Apple's privacy-preserving attribution can operate without cross-app tracking permission.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve app functionality

• Analyze optional, consented usage to improve features
• Measure advertising subject to applicable permissions

Third-Party Services

• Apple: App Store handles purchases and subscriptions. Data is stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks.
• PostHog: Processes optional product analytics, without identifying profiles using your name, email, or advertising identifier.
• Convex: Hosts configuration, support processing, and operational analytics summaries.
• Meta and TikTok: Process permitted advertising measurement when configured. Apple's tracking choice remains separate from optional usage sharing.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Focus History: Individual focus receipts, timer recovery state, preferences and streaks are stored on your device. We do not provide server-side backup of your focus history.
• Service Records: Optional analytics, submitted support requests, and authorized advertising signals are processed by the services described above; they are separate from locally stored focus history.
• Encryption: All data transmitted uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

Your Rights

• Optional Sharing: Choose Continue without sharing at first launch to decline usage analytics. Consent is not preselected or required for access.
• Withdraw: Open Settings → Privacy choices, turn off Share app usage, and save. Privacy choices is also available before purchase. Withdrawal stops future optional collection; contact us to request deletion of records already sent. Change Apple's separate tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Access: View all data stored in the app
• Delete: Remove your data at any time
• Cancel: Cancel subscription through App Store

Children's Privacy

Quiet Desk is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
