How Widget Workshop handles local tracker data, purchases, optional reminders, and feedback.

Last updated July 10, 2026

The short version

Widget Workshop is a local-first app. It does not require an account, serve ads, or use your information for cross-app tracking. The trackers you create stay on your device and are shared locally only between the app and its widget extension. Information leaves the app only when needed for an Apple service you choose to use or when you deliberately send feedback or email support.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the information needed to create and operate your trackers, including:

  • Tracker names, notes, type, dates, goals, counts, habit state, accent, and widget size.
  • App preferences, onboarding state, and the identifiers needed to connect a widget to a saved tracker.
  • Reminder choices for countdowns.

This data is kept in Apple-provided local app-group storage so Widget Workshop and its WidgetKit extension can read the same saved trackers. Hatching Point does not operate an account or cloud-sync service for this tracker data.

Purchases

Widget Workshop is sold as a one-time App Store purchase. Apple processes the transaction and may provide the app with purchase or entitlement information needed to confirm access. Hatching Point does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple handles purchase records under its own privacy policy and account settings.

Reminders and Live Activities

If you enable a countdown reminder, the app asks iOS for notification permission and schedules the reminder on your device. If you start a countdown Live Activity, iOS displays the tracker on supported Lock Screens and Dynamic Island devices. Widget Workshop does not use these features to build an advertising profile.

Feedback and support

Sending feedback is optional. If you use the in-app feedback form, Hatching Point receives the feedback type, your message, any email address you choose to provide, the app version, device model, operating-system version, and locale. This information is sent to our support service and used to respond, diagnose problems, and improve Widget Workshop. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information in feedback. We retain support correspondence and diagnostic context only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, maintain service records, and meet legal obligations.

Advertising, analytics, and sale of data

Widget Workshop contains no third-party advertising and does not sell personal information. It does not use tracker content for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple may provide aggregated App Store performance or diagnostic information according to your Apple privacy and analytics settings.

Your choices and deletion

  • Edit or delete individual trackers inside Widget Workshop.
  • Delete all saved trackers from Settings.
  • Turn notification permission off in iOS Settings.
  • End an active Live Activity from the app or the system interface.
  • Delete the app to remove its locally stored app data, subject to Apple backup behavior.
  • Contact us to request access to or deletion of feedback you previously submitted.

Security and children

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information sent to our support service, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure. Widget Workshop is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to inquiry@hatchingpoint.com.
