Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using WiFiSpeedLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use the app.

Use License

Hatching Point grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use WiFiSpeedLog for personal, non-commercial purposes subject to these Terms.

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app
  • You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • You may not use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • You may not transfer your license to anyone else

Subscriptions and Payments

WiFiSpeedLog offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.

  • Monthly plan: $6.99 USD per month
  • Yearly plan: $39.99 USD per year
  • Both plans include a 7-day free trial
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at purchase confirmation
  • Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Diagnostic Accuracy Disclaimer

WiFiSpeedLog measures network performance from your device using standard industry methodologies (RFC 6349, RFC 3393, RFC 8337, Waveform bufferbloat, ITU-T G.107 E-model). Measurements are accurate within the limitations of iOS networking APIs and the third-party test servers used (Cloudflare, public DNS resolvers).

While the generated evidence reports are designed to be credible and methodologically sound, Hatching Point makes no warranty that any ISP, regulator, landlord, employer, or court will accept the reports as authoritative evidence. Reports are informational and reflect what the app was able to observe from your device.

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create within the app (test logs, incident notes, exported reports). By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide app functionality.

Third-Party AI Service

WiFiSpeedLog uses OpenAI as a third-party AI service provider. By opting in to AI features in the app, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • When you use AI-powered insights, anonymized speed-test measurements and network context are sent to OpenAI's servers to generate responses.
  • No personal information (name, email, Apple ID, payment details, precise location, photos, or calendar content) is sent to OpenAI.
  • AI-generated analysis is informational only and should not be treated as technical advice or a substitute for a qualified network engineer.
  • You can revoke AI consent at any time in Settings › AI Data Usage.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hatching Point shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of WiFiSpeedLog.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
